5 movies for adventurous heart

8/05/2016

I like to call myself an adventurous person because I really enjoy trying out new things, visit new places, step out of my comfort zone, take some adrenalin actions and mostly in different ways explore this beautiful world of ours.

adventure
noun

1.
an exciting or very unusual experience.
2.
participation in exciting undertakings or enterprises:
the spirit of adventure.
3.
a bold, usually risky undertaking; hazardous action of uncertain outcome.
What adventure means to you?

I picked a few movies that I really enjoyed watching because they opened my eyes in some way. And they've wakened up my inner adventurer even though I was watching a movie at the end of a very unadventurous day in my bed.
If you are planning your next adventure or just want to explore the world from someone else's perspective I'd suggest you give a few of them a go.

Well, I actually read the book first and I loved it. It makes me just want to pack everything and go on a long hike and find myself. It's about a woman, who in her life crises decides that the best way to find peace is to go on a 1,100-mile solo hike. She has many ups and downs, but in the end, everything was worth it and happened for a reason.

Another great movie, another amazing woman doing a solo 1,700-mile trek in the Australian desert.
It definitely brings up the inner explorer in me and it makes me wanna to buy the one-way ticket to Australia ride camels, take photos and do everything by myself.

UNDER THE TUSCAN SUN
This is a movie about a writer who falls in love with Tuscany and impulsively buys a villa in Tuscany in order to change her unhappy life.
I watched it 5years ago and it was the first time I've fallen in love with Tuscany. It left me daydreaming. It has a lot of typical unnecessary Hollywood  scenes and a little bit too cheesy story but I think it's still possible to be that spontaneous and that in every second can happen something amazing and you should definitely say yes more often and not overthink about opportunities that are given to you on a plate.
If you love everything Italian you will enjoy it for sure.

Fly away.

EAT, PRAY, LOVE
This one is for more romantic souls for sure. The book&movie were a global success. It's about
a married woman who realises how unhappy her marriage really is, and that her life needs to go in a different direction. After a painful divorce, she takes off on a round-the-world journey to "find herself".
What I really liked about that movie is that it takes us literally around the world. It isn't that adventurous but it definitely has a catchy story.
RV
This is the only comedy on my list and the only Robin Williams movie but still I think it deserves to be on this list. Many of you have probably already seen it but still (you can never have enough of Robin Williams ;)) here is a quick summary: Bob Munro and his dysfunctional family rent an RV for a road trip to the Colorado Rockies, where they ultimately have to contend with a bizarre community of camper. the movie is full of different problems and adventurous but in the end, it's really funny.
I put it on my list also because I went camping last year with my family and it was great-I'd definitely suggest this a little bit different adventure to everyone- you can visit a lot of nice places and get to know yourself and other passengers a lot better.

I learnt a lot from all movies, but for sure I figured out that you have to take some paths alone but for sure not all of them, everybody needs some time with family&friends.
I actually realised that most of the movies are about women, do they risk more? do they always want to find themselves? do they want to be happy?
Well, I can't generalise- I think this is different for every person and it has nothing to do with gender (or so?) but I think it's an interesting conclusion.

Let me know what do you think about the movies?

Lots of love,
